Key Information about the admissions process for children joining Reception
Autumn:
Application process starts (The primary 2026 round will open from 1 November 2025 to 15 January 2026 inclusive.
We recommend that parents apply online at thurrock.gov.uk/admissions
We will be holding open days on Tuesday 7th October and Thursday 16th October.
Please contact the school office if you would like to book onto one of our tours or for further information.
Spring:
Application process closes
The strict deadline for parents to make their school application is Thursday 15th January 2026. This crucial deadline applies to parents and carers of children who were born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022.
Summer
National Offer Day – parents informed of outcomes Thursday 16th April from 12:30am
Induction for new parents and children takes place during the Summer term. Contact with those families who have successfully gained a place will be made at this time.
Cool Milk Scheme
By registering your child for our school milk scheme they will receive a 189ml (third of a pint) of semi-skimmed milk every day. This is delivered fresh and chilled to their classroom every day.
“How much does it cost?”
Thanks to government subsidies, school milk is free for all under-fives and is subsidised at around £20 a term for children aged five or older.
“Why should I register my child?”
School milk provides your child with essential nutrients such as calcium and protein, for strong, healthy teeth and bones. It is also rehydrating and energy boosting, helping to bridge the long gap between breakfast and lunch so children stay focused.
“How do I register my child?”
The school will register your child for milk unless you ask for them not to. Free milk will continue until the Friday before your child’s fifth birthday.
