At Horndon on the Hill Church of England Primary School our vision states:
‘We are all part of God's family. Through trying our best in all we do, we find a sense of belonging’ This forms the very essence of what we believe and it is fundamental that everyone knows that by being a part of our school they have an unconditional right to belong here.
We aim to create a happy, safe and secure environment, where all members of our school community are healthy, enjoy learning, achieve their full potential, respecting and valuing each other and themselves at all times.
As an inclusive school, the teaching and learning, achievements, attitudes and well-being of every young person matters. We always consider the varied life experiences and needs that may be experienced, providing equal opportunities for all of our pupils, whatever their age, disability, race, religion or belief, or socio-economic background, ensuring that every child really does matter.
We aim to develop a culture of inclusion and diversity in which success is celebrated and all those connected to the school not only feel proud of their identity but are also able to participate fully in school life. We will tackle discrimination by the positive promotion of equality and the creation of an environment which champions respect for all.
